Requiem for the River is a lens-based group exhibition responding to the Timtumili Minanya / River Derwent and Lutruwita / Tasmania’s waterways. Held at PIER+GALLERY, floating on the river at Brooke Street Pier, it will explore water, time, and memory through photography, cinematography, and fine art. Running June 1st – August 31st, the program will include; artist talks, workshops, and special events. Embracing celestial alignments and seasonal shifts, the exhibition offers both a lament and a reverence for the river’s past, present, and uncertain future.
